A compliant safety harness and adjustable restraint lanyard should always be worn when operating any 3b (self-propelled boom) or 1b (static boom) type platform*
In order to be classed as compliant, a harness inspection must be completed by a competent trained inspector once a year to ensure that they are safe for use and have a relevant certificate, as well as the visual inspection that the user should do every time he/she uses the harness. All harnesses that pass the inspection are issued with an electronic certificate confirming compliance.
To get your harness inspected, simply drop it off at your local depot and we’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready for collection. We strive to undertake the inspections as quickly as possible, but please allow up to 7 working days.
