The Power in Access

The power in access

A telehandlers (short for telescopic handler) is  a multi-purpose machine that can lift, move and place materials such as lumber, bricks and other heavy materials within an industrial working environment. A telehandler can often be described as a jobsite workhorse as they are suitable for a number of different uses, including material handling and movement, transport of heavy goods and lifting suspended and pallet loads.

While telehandlers are not part of our core range, we can provide telehandlers for hire and sale if needed. As standard with GTAccess, you can also benefit from relative workplace training courses from organisations such as IPAF and PASMA.

What is a Telehandler?

Telehandlers are incredibly versatile, also known as a telescopic handler. Telehandlers can function as forklifts to lift heavy loads, as well as a lifting platform, lifting materials with its telescopic arms. A telescopic handler has other functions and can be used for a variety of industries, such as construction, agriculture, waste and recycling, warehouse use and more.

Furthermore, a telehandler can be adapted to your unique requirements with the additional attachments available. With these attachments, your telehandler for hire can replicate a forklift or crane and become an essential element in your workspace.

Although a telehandler is practical in various workplaces, the most common uses of a telehandler are for the construction and agricultural industries. This is because a telehandler can be used indoors and outdoors, but due to their size, are best operated outside.

Additionally, if operating outside, a telehandler can still work on uneven ground or rough terrain, making them ideal for lifting large loads. Examples include:

  • Steel beams
  • Bricks
  • Concrete blocks
  • Pallets
  • Timber
  • Waste

Telehandlers can be supplied with a lift height of up to 16 metres and a maximum lift weight of up to 2,500kg.
