Key responsibilities
- Line manage a team of instructors delivering training courses nationwide
- Lead resource planning and scheduling to ensure optimal instructor utilisation
- Own and manage instructor diaries, balancing availability and travel efficiency
- Ensure the right mix of instructor skills, certifications, and experience for demand
- Oversee geographical deployment of instructors to minimise cost
- Line manage the Pre-Course Administrator to ensure effective pre-course planning
- Maintain high standards of delivery quality working closely with Senior Instructor
- Monitor instructor performance through feedback, audits, and quality assurance
- Identify training needs and coordinate CPD for instructors
- Collaborate with sales teams to align operational delivery with client demand
- Continuously improve operational processes, systems, and scheduling efficiency
- Manage operational risks and resolve scheduling conflicts or last-minute changes
- Track and report on key operational metrics (utilisation, cancellations, trainer welfare)
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in an operations, training, or resource planning role
- People management experience
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Ability to balance competing priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing or coordinating external suppliers or partners
- Commercial awareness with the ability to balance cost efficiency and service delivery
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
- High attention to detail and a process-driven mindset
- Proficiency in scheduling, CRM, or resource planning systems
Package
- Monday to Friday, full-time office based
- 7:30am - 4:30pm
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- £34,000 base salary
- £200 / month OTE
- Annual year-end profit share
Pay: £36,400.00 per year
