COURSE CONTENT

  • The roles and responsibilities of a first aider
  • Assessing an emergency situation safely
  • CPR and AED
  • Administering first aid to a choking casualty
  • Dealing with shock burns, scalds, bleeds and minor injuries

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to become emergency first-aiders in the workplace. This qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.

HOW LONG WILL THE COURSE TAKE?
To complete this emergency first aid at work qualification learners should expect to undertake 7 hours of learning, typically over one day, with a minimum contact time of 6 hours.

CERTIFICATION
On successful completion of the course you’ll be issued with a Highfield certificate valid for three years.

CITB EMPLOYER NETWORK FUNDING
This course qualifies for 70% funding via the CITB Employer Network. GTAccess is a CITB Employer Network approved provider and can offer 70% funding on training courses booked. For more information on CITB Employer Network funding and for a full list of applicable courses, please contact our team.

DRIVER CPC
This course can also be delivered as part of Driver CPC requirement. An additional charge of £35 is required to cover the CPC registration.

REFRESHMENTS
Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day on all courses at all of our training centres.  Please note that lunch is not provided.

CANCELATION POLICY
Courses cancelled less than 7 days prior to the course date but exceeding 48 working hours will incur a 50% charge. Courses cancelled less than 48 working hours before the course date will incur full payment. GT Access Ltd, reserves the right to cancel a training course at any time due to unforeseen circumstances. Should a course be cancelled alternative dates will be offered or a full refund given.
