One-day advanced training course to ensure you are proficient in undertaking statutory inspections of MEWP’s, MCWP and construction hoists (CH’s)

GTAccess is an accredited IPAF training centre offering the Competent Assessed Person (CAP) one-day training course. 

CAP stands for 'competent assessed person'. The one-day?IPAF?CAP?Training?Programme is an advanced level of assessment leading to certification that?candidates?are proficient in undertaking statutory inspections of MEWPs, MCWPs or Construction Hoists?(CHs),?to the highest specification, as stipulated by legislation/regulations.???

Benefits to employers? Cost saving if fleet inspections can be legally and professionaly carried out in-house by employees, this negates the requirement to organise an external insurer and accumulate associated costs. Peace of mind; specialist knowledge of powered access machinery is utilised. 

Benefit to industry? Conductive to safe and efficient fleet operation, familiarity with powered access machinary is retained within the industry with specialist knowledge being applied to machine inspections.

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR
Engineers wishing to competently?plan, manage and?conduct a thorough examination of a MEWP, MCWP or Construction Hoist. The course requires that candidates must hold a Current IPAF PAL card and score a minimum of 12 points using the IPAF entry criteria matrix.

COURSE INFORMATION

CITB GRANT FUNDING
This course qualifies for Tier 2 CITB Grant funding of £140. GTAccess is a CITB Approved Training Organisation (ATO) and as such our customers are able to claim grants when completing certain courses. CITB EMPLOYER NETWORK FUNDING
This course qualifies for 70% funding via the CITB Employer Network. GTAccess is a CITB Employer Network approved provider and can offer 70% funding on training courses booked. For more information on CITB Employer Network funding and for a full list of applicable courses, please contact our team.

CERTIFICATION
The Powered Access License card (PAL), that is given upon passing the course, is recognised by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Major Contractors Group (MCG) and is valid for 5 years. 

REASONABLE ADJUSTMENTS
If a candidate has literacy difficulties, GTAcces must be informed prior to the course taking place so that additional provisions can be made. Candidates who have difficulty understand the English language can provide an interpreter. 

REFRESHMENTS
Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day on all courses at all of our training centres.  Please note that lunch is not provided.

CANCELATION POLICY
Courses cancelled less than 7 days prior to the course date but exceeding 48 working hours will incur a 50% charge. Courses cancelled less than 48 working hours before the course date will incur full payment. GT Access Ltd, reserves the right to cancel a training course at any time due to unforeseen circumstances. Should a course be cancelled alternative dates will be offered or a full refund given.
