Two GTAccess colleagues are gearing up for a 960-mile cycle ride from Lands End to John O’ Groats to raise money in memory of a brave young boy called Harry’.

Engineer Luke Troth, aged 21, and lorry driver Chris George, who both work for Bromsgrove depot, have persuaded four other friends to join them on the 10-day journey, starting on August 26.

They have already raised more than £1,000 through sponsorship for Help Harry Help Others, which commemorates Harry Moseley, of Sheldon, Birmingham, who died aged 11 in 2011. During his illness Harry made and sold bracelets for Cancer Research.

“The guys fund the whole ride themselves,” said Luke’s “super proud mum” Teresa Littler. “They are all friends who ride together regularly and they have been touched by Harry’s story.”

Luke, of Harwood Park, Bromsgrove, and Chris, from Redditch, were last year part of a team that cycled coast to coast from Aberystwyth to Great Yarmouth in aid of Delete Blood Cancer.

They have roped in friends Richard Freeman, Simon Deakin, Alex Hill and Nick Wolverson for their latest adventure.
