Last year we entered and won the ‘Excellence in Innovation’ category of the awards for our “GTA Secure access control and tracking system.

This, combined with also being a finalist in the Medium Apprenticeship Employer of the Year category of the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards, gave us all the incentive we needed to put ourselves forward for this year’s Chamber Awards.

GTAccess has created a culture that supports and enhances our employees development which has resulted in a positive working environment. This environment enables our employees to provide a great service to their customers. It’s for these reasons that we have been shortlisted for the ‘Employer of the Year’ category of the Hereford and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Awards 2018.

At GTAccess we view our employees as our most important asset and strive every day to create a working environment that is open, safe and enjoyable for all their employees. Mutual trust, recognition and involvement have fostered a significantly higher rate of employee engagement across the whole of the company.

Jonathan Till, Director at GTAccess said: “Our employees are GTAccess – they bring the passion they have for powered access into serving GTAccess customers every single day. This award is really their award.”

Here at GTAccess we use continuous improvement as a key strategy aimed at encouraging our employees to grow within the organisation through a combination of internal and external training, engagement, empowerment and reward. The opportunities that this creates are viewed as beneficial for the employee and is seen as a necessity for us to achieve our company objectives, targets and priorities.

Following our shortlisting for the award we are readily anticipating the ‘interview’ with the award judges. Justin Kite, Marketing Manager at GTAccess stated “The interview process will hopefully allow us to further express how our company culture enables our employees to feel engaged, passionate and dedicated in how they deal with customers on a daily basis”.

Being shortlisted for this award is an acknowledgement that we are doing the right things. Despite some strong competition we are very hopeful of being successful and are looking forward to the Chamber of Commerce Awards dinner which is being held on the 7th of June at the Worcester Arena.
