Nigel Havers reaches new heights with GTAccess

GTAccess were recently featured on Channel 5’s Secrets of the National Trust with Nigel Havers.

In the episode Nigel Havers visited the medieval Powis Castle in Welshpool, Powis which was originally built by Welsh princes circa 1200 and is now home to a world-famous garden. GTAccess were asked to help with the trimming of the magnificent topiary. The topiary at Powis Castle almost 8,500 square meters and stands at 14-metre-high and gardeners used hand shears and balanced on very long ladders, tied together where necessary, to reach the top of the taller yews; now the topiary is trimmed with the use of powered access. GTAccess supplied Powis Castle with a Hinowa LL1775 Tracked Boom and Nigel Havers went up in the boom with a member of the national trust team to trim the magnificent topiary.
