GTAccess looking bright with Neon Hire Services Acquisition

News

03 June 2021

GTAccess has acquired Bedfordshire based Neon Hire Services in a multi-million pound deal that will see us strengthen our presence in the south east of England.

The addition of Neon Hire will add a further 5 depots in Luton, Peterborough, Brentwood, Central London and a sub depot at the NEC in Birmingham. These additional depots will fill the gap nicely between our Midlands based depots and our depot in Hailsham, east Sussex. Neon Hire currently runs a fleet of approximately 500 access platforms, 200 push around verticals and a variety of forklifts, diggers and material handling equipment and employs 35 people across the organisation.

Jonathan Till, Managing Director at GTAccess said “This acquisition will strengthen our powered access offering across southern England and will help us to continue our ambitious growth strategy.“

The acquisition will make GTAccess the largest independently owned powered access hire company within the UK market with a total fleet size approaching 2,700 machines across 12 depots and employing 142 staff. Deliveries throughout the Midlands, Wales and southern England will be supported with an expanded, specialist fleet of 11 articulated heavy delivery vehicles, 21 rigid’s, 5 smaller 7.5 ton rigid’s for restricted access areas and a number of 3.5 ton vehicles for fast response deliveries.

Tom Long, General Manager at GTAccess Commented “Although we already deliver powered access platforms in to London and across the south east, the addition of the Neon Hire locations will greatly expand our capability for delivering quickly and efficiently in to those areas and will make it much easier for us to continue meeting our customers high expectations.”

The synergies of the two companies and the integration of the depot locations makes this acquisition a perfect fit for both GTAccess and Neon Hire  – together the future looks bright for Neon and GTAccess.

The addition of depots in Luton, Peterborough, Brentwood and London Docklands will expand the GTAccess reach across London, Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Middlesex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Northants, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire.
