This qualification provides learners with the knowledge and skills needed to recognise the risks associated with hazardous substances and how to control them. 

The objective of this qualification is predominantly to support a role in the workplace, however it may also be suitable for younger learners preparing for employment or wishing to progress onto further learning in a related subject. There are no prerequisites for this qualification, although it is recommended that learners are 14+. The qualification is assessed by a 15-question multiple choice examination that must be completed in 30 minutes.

  • Principles of hazardous substances in the workplace

  • Hazards and risks to health caused by hazardous substances

  • Risk assessments for safe use of hazardous substances
  • Precautions and procedures to control the risk of hazardous substances

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This course is designed for delegates who have access to any environment where coming into contact with hazardours substances is likely. This includes workplaces in areas such as manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities and office environments as well as classroom environments.

Delegates must arrive 15 minutes prior to course start time for registration.

CERTIFICATION
On successful completion of the course you’ll be issued with a GTAccess Training certificate valid for three years.

REFRESHMENTS
Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day on all courses at all of our training centres.  Please note that lunch is not provided.

CANCELATION POLICY
Courses cancelled less than 7 days prior to the course date but exceeding 48 working hours will incur a 50% charge. Courses cancelled less than 48 working hours before the course date will incur full payment. GT Access Ltd, reserves the right to cancel a training course at any time due to unforeseen circumstances. Should a course be cancelled alternative dates will be offered or a full refund given.

Powered Access

We offer a full range of IPAF courses including, Operator training, Harness Safety training, MEWP's for Managers and IPAF Demonstrator and Load/Unload. Our IPAF Operator courses are run 5 days a week (including some weekends) at our training centres across the UK. Trainees will be issued with a PAL card upon completion that is valid for 5 years.
