To use any kind of Static Boom lift you need the appropriate training. We run IPAF 1b training courses at all of our depots that will instruct an operator how to prepare and safely operate any type of Static Boom lift.
A Static boom is any boom which requires outriggers, jacks or stabilisers to be deployed before elevating. This type (1b) of mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) cannot be moved along the ground when elevated. They are able to be driven, towed or pushed into position.
IPAF’s MEWP Operator Training is certified by TÜV as conforming to the international standard ISO 18878 Mobile elevating work platforms – Operator (driver) training.

All electric powered access platforms require charging each night in order to get a full day’s work out of them. These 110v transformers are ideal for bringing the voltage down from 240v to 110v allowing the charger unit to be plugged into a standard power source. All our machines are delivered fully charged.

To use any kind of self propelled scissor lift you need the appropriate training. We run IPAF 3a training courses at all of our depots that will instruct an operator how to prepare and safely operate any type of scissor lift. Completing this training will also permit a user to operate PAVs (Push Around Verticals).
A 3a machine is classified as any machine with a scissor, sigma or vertical mast lift mechanism.
To use any kind of mobile Boom lift you need the appropriate training. We run IPAF 3b training courses at all of our depots that will instruct an operator how to prepare and safely operate any type of mobile Boom lift.
Self-propelled booms which can be driven when elevated. The 3b category includes articulated booms (which give 'up-and-over' outreach), and telescopic booms (which give 'line-of-sight' outreach).
These tough, connectable and man-handleable road mats provide essential temporary access and ground protection on soft or sensitive ground. Ground mats can remove the need for costly reinstatement once the project is complete.
Access Platforms are expensive pieces of equipment, to replace or repair. Should the rental equipment be lost or damaged you would be liable for any repair or replacement costs under the CPA Terms and Conditions. To remove the risk for customers we offer GTA All Risk cover (loss and damage at 20% of hire charge). GTA All Risk will automatically be added unless a valid copy of your 'Hired in Plant' insurance has been provided.
PLEASE NOTE: We also offer GTA Damage Waiver as additional cover to your own Hired in Plant insurance which will cover you for accidental damage to the hire equipment.
DETAILS ON GTA ALL RISK
Access Platforms are expensive pieces of equipment, to replace or repair. Should the rental equipment be damaged you would be liable for any repair costs under the CPA Terms and Conditions. Your Hired In Plant insurance may cover you for accidental damage to the hire equipment. However, if you prefer or are not covered on your own insurance we can cover you with our GTA Damage Waiver.
Please Note: GTA Damage Waiver is in addition to being covered by your own 'Hired in Plant' Insurance. GTA All Risk will automatically be added unless a valid copy of your ‘Hired in Plant’ insurance has been provided.

Harness user is covered within the IPAF course, but not specified on your licence. You can add a specific IPAF Harness User licence to the course.
For the 3b and 1b category, a harness is required. You can hire a harness and lanyard from GTA, provided on the day of training.

Protect floors from potential oil and hydraulic drips when operating powered access platforms with the use of a Nappy or Drip Diaper. These are available to buy and can be delivered direct to site with your hired powered access platform (MEWP). These are available for all Scissor and boom machines.
We can supply a fully trained operator with the relevant qualifications/licence and experience together with your hire machine, giving you the confidence you need to complete your working at height project, safely and on time.
The area of the foot attached to an outrigger of a MEWP is often relatively small and consequently generates high pressures directly on the ground.
Most soils, unmade ground and some paved and tarmac covered areas are not capable of supporting these pressures. Some form of foundation or suitable spreader pad is often necessary to reduce these pressures to an acceptable safe level.
A physical IPAF card is not included as standard but can be included for a small fee. Tese will be sent via recorded delivery.

Wheel covers are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use when you need to protect a finished floor surface from unsightly black marks caused by the tyres of a machine. These wheel covers are supplied as a set of 4 and come in various sizes to suit individual machines. These can be purchased and supplied with your hire machine and are particularly useful when non-marking tyres are not an option. Wheel covers are simple to fit and can be reused multiple times.
